Advice and information:

With the rapid expansion in the growth of budget priced ‘no frills’ airlines and the increasing consumer confidence with ‘booking on-line’ we advise our clients to make their own flight reservations when required. See below for direct access to opodo.

The following guidelines are intended as an ‘aid’ only to clients, who wish to use a fly-in option, and then utilise an ‘accommodation only’ package supplied by Festival Adventures Ltd.

The advice therefore, although based on many years experience of the Festivals mentioned, is not a guarantee that arrangements made by individual clients will ensure trouble free travel, and that any information given is done so in good faith but should be checked and confirmed by the traveller concerned.

Pamplona (Running of the Bulls):

The following airports are all serviced by flights from UK, either by a ‘budget’ airline and/or schedule flights by the likes of Iberia or British Airways.

The airports are listed simply in their order of closeness to Pamplona:

Biarritz (France): (155kms)
Zaragoza: (174kms)
Bilbao: (145kms)
Pamplona:	Only serviced by domestic flights, so from UK you would fly via Madrid or Barcelona, and change flight.

Airport Transfers: (TBC)

Festival Adventures offer an airport transfer on both the 4th and 5th of July with one pick-up from Vitoria and two from Bilbao each day, to coincide with the ex-London flights operated by Easyjet and Ryanair. These are available exclusively to our clients and must be requested and booked in advance (one way only).

Travel Tips:

• If you have a choice of departures times to and from UK take the earliest flight outbound and the latest flight return. You need to ensure that there is ongoing public transport to Pamplona when you arrive!
• Ryanair's website has useful information regarding airport services at all their destinations.
• If attending for the opening ceremony of San Fermin we advise you to arrive at our base in Pamplona by mid afternoon latest on the 5th July so that you can attend the walking orientation tour.
• You are advised to enquire about your accommodation requirements before booking your flights to ensure availability.

Madrid (San Sebastian de los Reyes):

This northern suburb of Madrid is just 15 minutes by taxi from Barajas Airport (Madrid) and is serviced by Easyjet together with various scheduled airlines, such as British Airways and Iberia from London etc.

Munich (Oktoberfest):

As well as flights by Easyjet to Munich  (www.easyjet.co.uk) there is a wide selection of flights daily from most of the London airports Heathrow, Gatwick, etc by a variety of schedule airlines such as BA, Lufthansa, BMI etc. Ongoing transport from the airport is very easy by public transport using the rail system ( S- Bahn) to the city and then the U-Bahn ( underground ) once there. There is a U-Bahn stop at Thalkirchen which is about 10 mins walk from the Campsite.
